Omega'ya konuyla ilgili soru sordum ve Noel zamanı olmasına rağmen oldukça hızlı bir dönüş aldım. Adamlar kısaca derler ki "yetkili satıcıdaki satış görevlilerinin saatinizin daha uzun ömürlü olması için bir bakım önerdiğini düşünüyoruz. Bu bakım da kasa temizliği, pil değişimini ve varsa başka sorunların giderilmesini içerir". Pil değişimi ile bakım arasındaki farkı bilecek kadar kafam çalışıyor Allah'a şükür. Adamlar da herhalde nezaketen müşteriye yetkili bayilerini kötülemek yerine "satıcımız bunu bunu düşünmüş olabilir; bunun da yararı şudur" demişler. Yani "pil değiştirirken illa ki şu kadar para bayılıp şu bakımı yaptıracaksın" demiyorlar.

Bu durumda Özgür Saat'in pil değiştirme talebime; pil değişiminin yanı sıra bakımın da zorunluymuş gibi belirtmesi etiğe uygun bir şey değil. Ha; deseler ki "Pil değişiminin yanı sıra saatinizin değerinin korunması için bakım hizmeti var; şunları şunları içeriyor. Bedeli de şudur, isterseniz bu bakım hizmetine de aracı oluruz". Kendileri serviste pili 30 TL'ye değiştiriyorlar; bakımdan da % 5 komisyon kalsa 75 TL eder; müşteriden daha fazla para çarpma derdindeler.

Omega saat almayı düşünenler için sanıyorum Rotap'ın Omega Butik'i daha iyi bir seçenek olacaktır.

We thank you for your request of December 23rd, 2015 and are pleased to learn that you own an OMEGA Seamaster 300M quartz watch, which you purchased in April 2012. We take the opportunity to thank you for your confidence in our brand.
After carefully reading your correspondence, we have taken note that you brought your fine timepiece to our authorized OMEGA dealer for a battery replacement.
Although we have taken note of your concerns regarding the information you received, you will surely understand that it is somewhat difficult to judge the situation from this end.
Based on the given information, we suppose that our representatives informed you about the possibility to have a complete maintenance service carried out on your timepiece.
Please note that the following operations are included in the price of the complete maintenance service:

-Dismantling of the case
-Refurbishing of the case and bracelet in metal to original OMEGA SA specifications (polishing, satin-finishing).
-Cleaning (washing) of the case and metal bracelet.
-Assembling of the case and replacement of glass, tube, crown, pushers, helium escape valve, gaskets, if necessary (spare parts included except special mineral or sapphire glass and precious metal spare parts which are invoiced separately).
-Restoration of water-resistance with above-mentioned spare parts.

-Dismantling of the movement and repair or replacement of worn or damaged movement parts.
-Cleaning (washing), assembling, oiling, adjustment of the rate and check of the functions of the movement.
-Replacement of the hands, if necessary (hands included except special hands or hands in precious metal which are invoiced separately).
-Replacement of the battery and if necessary of the module in case of an electronic watch.
-Tuning of the precision.

-Technical and aesthetic final check of the assembled watch.

As general information, we would like to point out the like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly in order to work perfectly. We cannot indicate the interval for such work, since it depends on the model, climate and the owner’s individual care of the watch. However, generally we recommend a complete maintenance service every 4 to 5 years, depending on the use of the watch.

To whom it may concern,
As of December 18th, 2015; the battery of my Omega Seamaster 300M quartz seemed to be over. I went to the exclusive watch store of Ozgur Saat in Suadiye and asked to the sales representative if they could change the battery. The sales representative told me that they would accept the watch to be delivered at the main maintenance office, change the battery, make some tests and deliver me afterwards. According to the information; the battery change would last in 2-3 days and would cost about 1.500 Turkish Liras (about 500 USD). I told them I didn't have much time and asked if they could change the battery in their own maintenance office. They finally lead me to their own maintenance office. The battery has been changed in 5 minutes and costed 30 Turkish Liras (about 10 USD).
Today; I telephoned to Omega Boutique in order to ask the cost of battery change for my watch. The lady on the phone told me it would cost about 50 Turkish Liras (about 16,5 USD) and the battery would be changed in a few minutes. I told the lady the story which was told me by the sales representative of Ozgur Saat in Suadiye (battery change and test in worth of 1.500 Turkish Liras / 500 USD). The lady had no idea about a battery change and test in worth of 1.500 Turkish Liras / 500 USD. She told if there is any problem about the watch which has been told by the watch owner, the watch repairer would inform them about the problem and the expected cost of the fixture/maintenance.
The aim why I write the story so long is that; I would like to know if there is really a maintenance/fixture in case of a battery change in worth fo 1.500 Turkish Liras (500 USD) or if the sales representative told me a fake story and tried to fool me.
Since I like my Seamaster 300M quartz so much; I would not like to be fooled nor neglect the periodical maintenance/fixture of my watch. By the way; I bought my watch in April 2012 from Tevfik Aydin Saat in Sirkeci/Istanbul and I told the sales representative that my watch was about 3 years old.
I am looking forward for your answer.
